
The official Raleigh-Durham airport is the Raleigh-Durham International Airport ,an East Coast hub, ranking as one of the nation's fastest-growing airports and serves Raleigh and the rest of the Triangle area of North Carolina.
It is located at the western edge of Wake County, near Cary, Morrisville and Research Triangle Park and midway between the cities of Raleigh and Durham. It is just a 15-minute drive from downtown Raleigh and offers almost 450 daily flights on 9 major and 16 regional airlines (see a diagram of Terminals A and C). The Raleigh-Durham airport also offers international flights to London and Toronto and direct service to 37 destinations.

The airport is 14 miles from downtown Raleigh just a 15-minute drive. Cab fare is approximately $30.
Ground transportation is provided by RDU Airport Taxi Service, the Triangle Transit Authority and local limousine and shuttle companies.
RDU recently completed a 6,000-space parking garage between the two main terminals.
Some hotels offer Park and Fly special deals.
Many hotels offer shuttle service to and from the airport.
